DELIVERY OVERVIEW
  • Truckload deliveries are accepted on a first come first serve basis during normal receiving hours as listed above.
  • Appointments are not required if delivered within normal receiving hours unless they exceed 5 skids.
  • Deliveries of more than 5 skids will require a delivery appointment to be made.
  • Deliveries requested outside of normal receiving hours must have an appointment made 24 hours in advance of delivery. Failure to do so may result in refusal of shipment.
  • To make an appointment please contact warehouse personnel at the number listed above.
PACKAGING AND LABELING REQUIREMENTS
  1. Each carton must be labeled with the following:
    • RBO Item Number
    • RBO Purchase Order Number (scannable packing slip can be provided by RBO Account Manager)
    • Description of Product
    • Quantity Per Unit of Measure
      • Individual boxes must be labeled with unit of measure quantity, i.e. if packed in 25 and 10 packs are in box then label should say 10 packs of 25/pk, not 250.
      • If unit of measure is in case quantity, then there can be no partial case.
    • All product that is packed in sets should be labeled on each set with item # and quantity in pack.
    • Printed pieces should include a sample fully taped to the outside of the box.
    • Manufactured products should have cartons consecutively numbered. Please note partial cartons.
    • Only one item per carton….no mixed item cartons.
  2. A packing slip should accompany each shipment and contain the following:
    • Name and address of vendor
    • Item Number
    • Purchase Order Number
    • Description
    • Number of cartons for each item/sku
    • Number of pieces and sets per carton
    • Total quantity for each item/sku (expressed as singles)
    • Date material shipped from vendor
    • RBO Account Manager
    • Must have RBO Emailed packing list attached on a box or skid of the product being sent.
  3. Samples (Printed items only) - 10 samples of each item must be included in a separate envelope on the outside of each shipment along with the packing slip.
CARTON REQUIREMENTS
  1. The maximum weight of a carton is not to exceed 55 pounds.
  2. Cartons must be sized to a “glove fit” and must be packed solidly to avoid shifting or curling of components.
  3. Cartons containing multiple layers of material must have each layer separated by a solid sheet of either chipboard or corrugated.
APPAREL REQUIREMENTS

Apparel items should come in shrink wrapped or poly bagged packages based on the UOM ordered on the PO (ex. eaches versus 5 packed in one bag), labeled with the UOM and RBO item number.

ENVELOPE REQUIREMENTS

Cartons must be sized to a “glove fit” and must be packed solidly to avoid shifting or curling of components. Consistent quantity per full carton required except for partial cartons.

BULK PACK REQUIREMENTS (Materials Packed Loose - No Cartons)
  1. Bulk packing is only acceptable for the receipt of heavy material (i.e. catalogs, oversized brochures, books, etc.).
  2. All bulk packing will have a wooden pallet top, banded securely to the pallet.
  3. Pallets should not exceed 2,200 pounds in weight and should not exceed 50 inches in height.
PALLET REQUIREMENTS
  1. All material must be received on wooden pallets that are 48 inches (L) by 40 inches (W) and are 4-way accessible.
  2. The maximum size of a load is not to exceed 40” wide by 48” long by 48” tall.
  3. The maximum weight of a pallet is not to exceed 2,200 pounds.
  4. Pallets containing one item code or lot are required, however, if mixed components are necessary, up to 5 cases per item with each item being clearly marked and separated by chipboard on each pallet and each pallet should have a placard stating that it is a mixed pallet. Each item must be separated by chipboard no exceptions.
  5. Pallets should be packed as a solid block and cartons should be within the outer edges of the pallet, not overhanging.
  6. Each layer of the pallet should contain the same number of cartons.
  7. Pallets should be secured with shrink-wrap or banded with wooden tops. (shrink wrap preferred)
  8. Enamel stock that is bulk packed tends to shift and should be secured with extra banding.
RECEIVING CHARGES
  1. Any deliveries that fall outside of these requirements will be managed in one of the following ways:
    • Supplier will be contacted, and if time allows, will be permitted to pick up, rework and return corrected.
    • Supplier will be contacted, and if time allows, will send associates to rework the materials on-site at RBO.
    • RBO will correct the shipment, track time, and short pay the supplier’s invoice for associated charges.
  2. Stock received damaged will be documented on the bill of lading and photos of the stock will be taken if necessary.
  3. Charges of $75/hour for RBO to make any corrections to incorrect receipts.
